Why Simactors
The Simactors Community is made up of an experienced team of expert Simulated Patient Actors, Roleplayers, and Facilitators. We know each actor personally. They are all passionate, caring, and enjoy how we work.
Our Actors are invested in the work they carry out and love watching students develop their self-confidence during simulation. It’s all worth it for those ‘lightbulb moments.’ They all believe in it creating a safe and supportive environment, where mistakes are allowed.
Our SimTeam are your biggest fans. Cheering each student on to do their best.

We Train
To maintain professional standards Simactors is committed to its Training and Development of all Simulated Patient Actors. Our freelancers have support online and in person who are also given the ability to upskill themselves?
We take pride in offering training opportunities for those eager to learn and deepen their understanding of simulation acting. At the same time, we support experienced actors by providing opportunities to enhance their skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Developing a cohort of Simulated Patients (SPs) to maintain consistent and high standards across clinical programs, including both high-stakes assessments (OSCEs) and teaching settings, requires a comprehensive and structured approach.
We Create
Our expertise goes beyond performance—we write bespoke communication scenarios, facilitate sessions for learners at all levels, and mentor actors to ensure their growth and adaptability. This ensures that all of our actors are not only highly skilled but also continually developing and equipped to meet the unique demands of medical simulation.
Simactors’ reputation has grown organically, driven by word of mouth and our commitment to excellence. Clients recognise our “above and beyond” approach, which has led to exciting opportunities for us as a company, often being invited to contribute to research and training initiatives.
We Connect
We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach and strong relationships with our clients and have a long standing excellent relationship with all the clients we support, and offer regular check-ins before, during, and post-events to ensure satisfaction of service is maintained.
In addition, we champion our Simulated Patient Actors to provide us with constructive feedback that can support the needs of our participants, clients, or actors to achieve excellence in simulation and ensure a fair and happy working environment.
